Terms & Conditions
The Spicy Academy is a sex worker-founded, sex worker-led educational platform that is fiercely independent and unapologetically community-focused. Our mission is to support, uplift, and empower sex workers through accessible education, peer-led content, and transparent resources—all without gatekeeping or external influence.

1. Independent and Unaffiliated
Spicy Academy is an independent entity. We are not affiliated with or financially supported by any booking agencies, strip clubs, brothels, or employers in the adult industry. While we welcome and appreciate support from clubs or agencies in the form of referrals or recommendations, we do not accept financial contributions or partnerships that could bias our mission or content.
2. Ethicality
We are committed to operating transparently, and in the best interests of sex workers. All educational content, blogs, workshops, and materials are produced by current or former sex workers with lived experience and deep knowledge of the industry.
3. Worker-Led, Worker-Focused
Spicy Academy was built by sex workers, for sex workers. Our focus is on creating a union-like environment that prioritises the well-being, safety, and empowerment of workers. We are a platform for peer-to-peer learning, knowledge sharing, and networking.
4. Zero Tolerance for Discrimination or Harm
We do not tolerate:
-
Bullying or harassment
-
Discrimination of any kind (including but not limited to race, gender identity, sexuality, disability, age, or body type)
-
Racism, misogyny, or transphobia
-
Exploitative, unethical, or predatory behaviour
-
The mistreatment of workers in their workplace
Our community guidelines are enforced to ensure that this space remains safe, inclusive, and welcoming for all sex workers.
5. Lived Experience First
We prioritise the voices, needs, and realities of sex workers. Our policies, content, and collaborations are shaped by the lived experiences of our contributors. We listen to and centre workers—always.
6. Anonymity and Safety
We respect and protect the privacy of all contributors. Writers and educators may publish content anonymously, under a stage name, or under a pen name. All personal data is treated with strict confidentiality and care.
7. Accountability and Growth
We are committed to ongoing learning and accountability. We welcome feedback from our community and will actively work to improve and evolve. If harm occurs, we will address it transparently, with a focus on restoration and care.
8. Australia-Based Guidance
The Spicy Academy provides education and advice specifically for sex workers operating within Australia. Our team and contributors have experience within the Australian sex industry and aim to provide relevant, state-aware guidance. However, each state and territory in Australia has different laws and regulations regarding sex work.
We do our best to specify when advice is state-specific, but we strongly encourage all sex workers to familiarize themselves with the laws in their specific region. The information we share may be generalised and should always be cross-checked against local legal frameworks. We are not legal professionals, and this platform should not replace legal consultation.
While we support sex workers globally, our expertise lies within the Australian context. For advice outside of Australia, we recommend connecting with local organisations familiar with your region's legal landscape.
